Request a SampleThe Sissala Shea Cooperative was founded in January 2018 to unite shea butter producers across the Sissala District. Operating across 3 villages in the Upper West Region, we bring together over 150 skilled women — the backbone of Ghana's shea tradition.
Working with our social enterprise partner Superior Shea, we produce raw, unrefined, Grade 1 shea butter using traditional African methods. 50% of all sales profits flow directly back: funding healthcare, education, farmland cultivation, and community infrastructure.
Our members aren't just producers — they're co-owners of a vision, building a future where rural Ghanaian women hold economic power.
